A part of our year-long Stephen King Film Festival, a screening of "The Mist" will take place on November 15, 2018. Prior to the film at 6:30 PM, Patrick McAleer will give a lecture about the film from the stage. Tickets just $5, General Admission. The Stephen King Film Festival is presented thanks to funding from Charles P. Hahn, Cleveland Financial with guest speakers provided by the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library.

 

3 movies = 3 Chances to Win!

With each film you attend (Carrie, The Mist, The Shining), you will be entered into a drawing for a Snow Trails and Stephen King Surprise package worth over $250!  The winner will choose between either Two All-Day Lift Tickets for Skiing/Snowboarding with Equipment Rental and Group Lesson included (valid any day) at Snow Trails, OR Two-Hour Tickets for Snow Tubing for a Group of Four (open Thursday - Sunday).  The drawing will take place prior to the showing of The Shining on December 1st.

Wednesday, November 14:  A casual discussion on King's Dark Tower series at MAIN STREET BOOKS from 6:00-7:30 PM.

Thursday, November 15: At 6:30 PM, a brief lecture on The Mist prior to the showing.

Thursday, November 15: After the show, a Meet & Greet/Pub Quiz at the Phoenix Brewery.

Patrick McAleer has been co-chair of the Stephen King Area of the Popular Culture Association's Annual National Conference since 2007, and has presented papers on Stephen King every year he has attended this conference since 2006.  He is also the author of Inside the Dark Tower Series (2009) and The Writing Family of Stephen King (2011), and he is the co-author of three anthologies on Stephen King: Stephen King's Modern Macabre (2014), Stephen King's Contemporary Classics (2014), and the forthcoming The Modern Stephen King Canon.  Beyond a handful of conference presentations, publications, and interviews concerning the work of Stephen King, he constantly teaches King's work in his English courses at Inver Hills Community College in Minnesota, including two classes wholly devoted to King (Contemporary Fiction-Stephen King and the American Dream/American Nightmare, and The Novel-Featuring Stephen King). Lastly, his favorite works of Stephen King's include The Colorado Kid and The Dark Tower series.

All tickets purchased online and via phone are available for pick up at the Renaissance Box Office will call window prior to the event or during normal business hours. Discounts are not available for online sales. Discounts and promotions are available only by visiting or calling the Renaissance Box Office during normal business hours.
